Dawn & Stuart’s Wedding - The Orchard, Maidstone
Ohhhh Dawn & Stuart! What an incredibly special day! And an absolute joy to make the most of this late summer sun, in all of its golden magic. Dawn & Stuart had the most beautifully sunny day at The Orchard in Maidstone, a picturesque 14th century farmhouse set amidst rolling Kentish countryside.
Dawn and Stuart had a long journey to their wedding day. Originally planning to marry in 2021, they were moments away from paying a deposit on a London wedding venue when the UK went into lockdown. My lovely couple then decided to head for the countryside, using their wedding fund to buy a house in Maidstone. So it wasn’t until last Saturday - 14 years after they became a couple - that they eventually became husband and wife!
They were both so incredibly happy to be finally tying the knot, and had planned a day heaped with personal and handmade details. The flowers, decorations and centre pieces were all designed and created by my clever couple! Dawn smiled from ear to ear all day long, and it was clear to see that they were both soaking up every moment.
The whole day with Dawn and Stuart was wonderful, but a highlight for me was our portrait session. They both wanted to ensure we had enough time to create some magical photographs, and we did exactly that! They even climbed a huge hill to get some epic shots when I told them of my idea for a cool photo, and I’m delighted that they did - the results are gorgeous!
