Emily & Matt

Oh my goodness what a SPECTACULAR day Emily & Matt had! Springtime at The Ravenswood never fails to disappoint, and the grounds truly put on a show for us. The rhododendrons! The wisteria! The gorgeous golden light! My lovely couple couldn’t have asked for a more romantic spot to marry.

Emily & Matt had an outdoor ceremony against the backdrop of the little castle, which was awash with wisteria - beautifully delicate little chandeliers in the prettiest pastel colours. If there’s a more romantic setting to be married in - surrounded by flowers, with blue sky above - I’m yet to find it. Emily & Matt’s dog, Scout, proudly joined his mum and dad after the ceremony, and was an absolute superstar in front of the camera.

Emily & Matt had planned their day perfectly, and allowed plenty of time to relax with their guests. Nobody wants a rushed reception; taking time to savour the day is what it’s all about! Plenty of lawn games kept the atmosphere fun and completely at ease, allowing everyone to really enjoy themselves.

It goes without saying that I was beside myself with excitement owing to the beautiful setting and glorious weather, so I couldn’t wait to get my loved up couple to myself for some romantic portraits. We even had a gorgeous golden hour! There were opportunities for stunning photos everywhere… I could’ve stayed in the grounds all day!
