Hannah & Matt’s Wedding - Penshurst Place
Oh what a stunner of a day we had for Hannah and Matt’s beautiful wedding!
The great British weather means you never really know what to expect - even more so as one season shifts to the next - but they really lucked out with gorgeous sunshine all day. It was a day bathed in prettiness – stunning florals, a showstopper of a bridal gown and the biggest smiles!
Hannah & Matt were married at Chiddingstone Church, before heading to Penshurst Place for their wedding reception (how lucky am I to have been there twice in the last couple of weeks!). Hannah visited Penshurst Place as a child with her family, and was mesmerised by the wedding that was taking place while they were there. She told her parents that when she grew up, she wanted to get married there… and so on Saturday, her dreams came true and she married her favourite person at the venue she fell in love with as a little girl. How special is that?!
I was absolutely obsessed with Hannah’s stunning dress! Those sleeves! They created such a distinctive silhouette, and the way the light passed through them was nothing short of magical. It was lovely to see Matt in traditional groomswear too with a top hat and tails… I’ve not seen that in ages and it was wonderful to see him embrace a different look. The two of them looked just incredible!
With my couple looking this swish, I couldn’t wait to get them out into the stunning grounds, even whisking them out to catch the very last of the golden light. Huge thanks to Hannah and Matt for willingly joining me outside in between their main course and dessert to make sure we didn’t miss the most special sunlight of the day! It was SO worth it.
