Abi & Jack’s Wedding - Nettlestead Place, Maidstone
What an absolute stunner of a day we had for Abi & Jack’s gorgeous midsummer wedding! They married at the historic Nettlestead Place in the Kent countryside – always a wonderful place to be, and it didn’t disappoint!
After reading some very emotional letters they’d written for one another, my wonderfully relaxed couple said “I do” beneath the vaulted ceiling of the majestic Undercroft – the perfect shaded spot for a sunny day. Their gorgeous son Bailey was proud to be part of the action, giving me his very best and biggest “cheese!” every time he saw my camera. What a cutie!
The gardens were at their summertime best, with clouds of flowers at every turn. You couldn’t ask for a prettier, more romantic backdrop. I’d have happily spent another day photographing my beautiful couple amidst the blooms! Abi & Jack were super keen for golden hour photos (I’d have cried if they didn’t want any!), and we were treated to the softest, most romantic sunshine that bathed them in golden light. Just dreamy.
Abi’s elegant dress paired beautifully with a lively palette of oranges, blues, whites and greens – blending flawlessly with Nettlestead’s gardens. Their accent colour provided a vibrancy to the day (don’t the bridesmaids look incredible?!) and gave a burst of colour to the boys’ outfits.
It’s hard to believe they planned their entire wedding in just 11 weeks – it was so incredibly well thought out and beautifully styled; all the more impressive given the eye watering time frame! But Abi & Jack weren’t the least bit flustered - they took every moment in their stride and were clearly having the time of their lives, and deservedly so.
What an incredible day! Abi, Jack, Bailey and all their family and friends were amazing to spend the day with. Exactly how weddings should be: fun, relaxed, and all about enjoying spending the day with the people you love the most. Congratulations Abi & Jack!
